Major Frederick J. Olsen is an Assistant Professor of Military Aerospace Studies for the MLA 100 Heritage and Values of the U.S. Air Force for the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (R.O.T.C.), Detachment 20, University of Arizona, Tucson, Arizona.  He is responsible for the education of the first-year Cadets and recruiting. 

Major Olsen was commissioned out of the Air Force R.O.T.C. program, Detachment 20, at the University of Arizona.  He has served in several joint and inter-agency assignments where he worked with U.S. and foreign government militaries, agencies, and law enforcement, together with non-government organizations in counter-human trafficking in the Republic of Korea, Europe, and Latin America; counternarcotics throughout Latin America; counterterrorism in the Middle East and Europe; humanitarian assistance for over 20K refugees in the Middle East and coming out of Africa; international relations and operations in three foreign languages throughout the world; and led initial teams analyzing trends of COVID-19 to mitigate the spread in Europe. 

He also has 25 years of teaching experience working with adults, orphans, refugees, and youth developing career, education, leadership, and life skills through: the American Heart Association; Army and Navy Junior R.O.T.C.; Boy and Girl Scouts of America; Civil Air Patrol; the Korean-American Partnership Association; Operation Underground Railroad; the Red Cross; tutoring math, linguistics and career development for high school and college students; the U.S. Air Force Officer Training School; and various religious and multi-faith organizations in five different countries.
