Major Renner

Major Haley M. Renner is the Education Officer and primarily instructs the Sophomore class for the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps, Detachment 20, University of Arizona, Tucson, Arizona.  She is leads, recruits, trains, mentors, counsels, and evaluates cadets as prospective Department of the Air and Space Force officers. She advises unit instructors on curricula, manages education materials, directs staff in-service training, approves unit tests and course syllabi. 

Major Renner received her commission through the Reserve Officer Training Corps at Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana, and entered the Air Force in 2014. Her background includes duties as Deputy Chief of the Engineering Flight and Project Programmer. While serving as the Deputy Chief, she was the sole beddown engineer in the 22d Air Refueling Wing's KC-46A Program Integration Office, overseeing 16 Military Construction projects valued at $267 million. While deployed in support of Operations Inherent Resolve, Freedom’s Sentinel, and the Resolute Support Mission, Major Renner provided engineer support for the billion-dollar USAFCENT Army Missile Defense Agency’s site relocation project. During her time as the Officer in Charge of Program Development, she oversaw Pacific Air Forces’ largest construction project portfolio, including the $697 million combined U.S. and Republic of Korea Air Operations Center project. In 2020, Major Renner moved to Tucson and served in a variety of positions to include Theater Support Program Manager, where she evaluated and developed engineer requirements for USSOUTHCOM and 12th Air Force (AFSOUTH) contingencies and exercise support. Additionally, she served as the Executive Officer to the Logistics, Installations, and Mission Support Director, supporting the most diverse directorate, comprised of 20 different specialties.  Prior to this assignment, she served as the Junior Executive Officer to the 12th Air Force (AFSOUTH) Commander. In this capacity she directly assisted the commander and his staff with direction, guidance and command and control of the C-NAF.
